Understand your codebase quickly

Ask your whole repository a question out loud or in text, and follow the answer on a graph that builds as it is explained. Pro.

Analyze Project answers questions about your whole repository in plain English, names the real files the answer came from, and builds a graph you can follow. It is a Pro feature.

#Ask out loud or type

Hold the key shown in the voice dock, ask, then release. You hear the answer. Prefer typing? The chat is right there, and every turn lands in the same history.

Why it's quick: you don't need to know where to look. Ask how auth works, where a webhook is verified, or what a service touches, and get the answer without opening a single file.

Set up voice in Voice.

New to a codebase? Ask how auth or billing works and hear the answer while the graph builds.

#See it as a graph

Where a picture helps, DiffGuardian builds a graph on the canvas beside the conversation, drawn from your repository's call graph. When you ask by voice, the graph builds while the answer is spoken. Drag nodes to rearrange them, click a node to trace its flow, and click empty space to clear.

Why it's quick: you hear the explanation and see the flow at the same time.

#What an answer is based on

Every answer names the real files it came from. They come from your repository's code graph: symbols, callers and import edges.

#The first time

The first time you open Analyze Project for a repository, DiffGuardian builds its code graph on your machine. The chat opens as soon as the graph is ready, and later sessions reuse it. After pulling a large branch, give the index a moment to catch up before asking about the new code.

#Good first questions

  • How does authentication work in this app?
  • What happens when a user does X?
  • Where is Y checked, and what calls it?
  • What would break if I changed Z?
