Understand a pull request quickly
Three ways into a pull request: read it with Trace It, hear it by voice, or see what it touches in the blast radius graph.
DiffGuardian gives you three ways into a pull request. Pick the one that suits how you take things in, or mix them.
| Way in | Best when | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Read it with Trace It | You want a written walkthrough at your own pace | Pro |
| Hear it by voice | You want the walkthrough now, out loud | Pro |
| See it with the blast radius graph | You want to know what a change touches | All plans |
#Read it: Trace It
Trace It breaks the pull request into the features it ships, then walks one feature across every file it touches, in the order the code runs, explaining each step.
Why it's quick: you follow one feature from start to finish instead of jumping between files.
- Open a pull request and let the analysis finish.
- Choose a feature from the list.
- Step through it. Go back whenever you like.

#Hear it: talk to the PR
Hold the key shown in the voice dock, ask what the pull request does, then release. You hear the walkthrough while the code it is explaining is highlighted and scrolled into view. Ask a follow-up any time, or tell it to skip to the file you care about.
Why it's quick: you don't read anything. You ask, listen and steer.
Set it up in Voice.
#See it: blast radius
A graph of the changed files and the modules they import, built from the diff alone. It is a heuristic, not an AI answer. Point DiffGuardian at a local checkout and it also shows the code that calls into your change. Click a node to pin its flow.
Why it's quick: you see the shape of the change before you read any code.

#Ask about the diff
The Ask tab sits beside the diff and answers questions about this pull request. Highlight any code and press Explain to have just that snippet explained. Both are Pro.
Why it's quick: the answer comes with the diff already in context.
#Working through a queue
When many pull requests are waiting, use the way in that fits each one. Skim the graph for small changes, use Trace It where you need depth, and talk to the ones you would rather listen to. Approval stays with you, and DiffGuardian never merges anything.
